-UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME-

Project Location: Damascus, Rural Damascus, Hama, Homs, Aleppo, Deir Al Zor, Lattakia, Tartous, Daraa, and Suwaida- Syria

-Capacity Development and Training Services for National NGOs Programme- Delivered generic and thematic trainings delivered to CSOs/NGOs/FBOs as well as to community leaders and youth in targeted communities. The project also included management and finance Coaching for NGOs. The project covered 44 topics through 300 courses targeting over 4741 trainees from different Syrian Governorates. 

-Social Cohesion Programme- Delivered community-oriented training for youth and leaders. The project covered 6 main topics through over 200 courses targeting all youth and leaders from Different Syrian Governorates. 

-Coaching Services- Finance coaching services were conducted to more than 9 local NGOs from different Syrian Governorates. 

-Food Agriculture Organization-

Project Duration: Dec 2019- March 2020 (4 Months)
Project Location: Damascus, Rural Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama- Syria

This project aimed at delivering the capacity of the Ministry of Agriculture Staff. The project included 6 Project Cycle Management workshops to more than 79 trainees for a total of 216 Training hours. It also included a one-concept note preparation workshop for FAO staff. 
Another project was conducted in collaboration with FAO under the Small Food Business Development Training Program. The project included two Train the Trainer workshops to 31 trainees for a total of 108 Training Hours. It also included the Delivery of 15 Small Business Development Trainings to 172 Trainees for a total of 540 training hours.

-Capacity Development to Local NGOs- World Health Organization-

Project Duration: (1-October-2016) to (31-January-2017)-4 Months
Project Location: Damascus, Syria

The aim of this project was to cover 5 main areas for targeted    NGOs through a coaching/consulting program. The Main Areas of Improvement include Strategic planning, Organizational Structure, HR Internal System, Processes and Procedures, and Financial Management.
 

-Forsati Project- Provision of Vocational Training and Tool Kits & Entrepreneurship-

Project Duration: (1-January-2017) to (31-June-2017)- 6 Months
Project Duration: Aleppo, Syria

This project is designed to deliver vocational trainings and entrepreneurship support to 600 vulnerable youth, workers of disrupted small business, and women in Aleppo. In order to improve their employability and business revival entrepreneurship potential, with relation to labor market needs.
 

-Capacity Building Training to Staff World Food Programme-

Under this project, venture trained WFP Staff on Time Management, Problem Solving, and Negotiation Skills.

The project aimed at delivering Management Skills and Project Management workshops to SARC. 

-Capacity Building for DRC Staff- Danish Refugee Council-

Project Duration: December 2019- February 2020- 2 Months
Project Location: Damascus, Syria

Under this project, Venture trained DRC staff on Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Venture also customized a soft skills training workshop for DRC Staff

-Annual Retreat Facilitation Services for UNFPA- United Nation Population Fund-

Project Duration: August 2018- September 2018- 2 Months
Project Location: Lattakia

Under this project, Venture conducted team building and strategy review retreat that covered 110 staff over 2 days in Lattakia. The topics mainly focused on team building activities, Personality assessments and role play and Strategic review sessions. 

-Provision of Professional Services to Support Field Monitoring and Evaluation of a UN Agency Resilience Building Projects in Syria-

Project Duration: 2018 to 2020- 2 Years 
Project Location: Damascus, Syria
 
UNDP implements a unique resilience programme that supports Syrian people in their hour of need by means of employment and small business revival. The programme, which is implemented in 9 governorates, goes beyond humanitarian assistance in the sense that it fosters resilience. The programme is meant to decrease undesired dependencies and to incentivise Syrians to stay in Syria with livelihoods and dignity. Venture was selected to provide third party monitoring services covering all 9 governorates where interventions took place. A variety of activities were monitored and included main areas of livelihood, social cohesion, debris management, business support, solid waste management and basic infrastructure. Each TPM visit had its own customised tools based on a thorough study of the secondary documents reviewed by the senior expert. Trained researchers conducted field visits and used a variety of data collection methods including KIIs, observations, inspections, walkthroughs, and surveys. Areas for improvement and recommendations were reported and discussed with relevant parties. The project was extended for an additional year.

-Provision of Professional Services to Support Field Monitoring of INGO Activities-

Project Location: Whole of Syria GoS areas.
 
An international NGO works through an implementing partner. They have a number of projects implemented through one implementing partner, responding to affected population needs in the following sectors: Protection, Education, Livelihoods, WASH, and Health. The projects’ activities are implemented across the whole of Syria GoS areas in the following governorates: Hassake, Aleppo, Damascus, Rural Damascus, and Daraa. Venture was selected to provide third-party monitoring for the mentioned activities. Each TPM visit had its own customized tools based on a thorough study of the secondary documents reviewed by the senior expert. Trained researchers conducted field visits and used a variety of data collection methods. Due to the coronavirus crisis, Venture was flexible to adjust to a new data collection methodology and introduced a limited contact visits process. The project was extended for an additional year. Power BI reporting was used to enhance information display.

-Final External Evaluation of ‘Ta’ziz’ Project in Syria delivered by an INGO in Syria-

Project Location: Hama governorate-Syria
 
‘Ta’ziz’ is a three-year humanitarian response program that seeks to save lives and reduce human suffering from conflict by buttressing the coping capacity of vulnerable households in Salamieh district, Hama governorate, Syria. The program concentrates efforts in three priority sectors: 1) protection/education for young girls and boys aged 3-6, 2) drinking water in rural communities, and 3) conditional and unconditional cash assistance for internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities, particularly female-headed households whose livelihoods and income sources have been further compromised. Ta’ziz’s reach is 62,590 individuals throughout its project interventions, of which around half are female. Venture was selected to conduct a final evaluation for this project, an followed OECD/DAC evaluation criteria with a focus on gender equality and environmental sustainability strategies. For this purpose, Venture conducted full review of the project documents and other secondary data sources. Primary data collection included FGDs, KIIs, and phone surveys. The report produced solid lessons learned and best practices.
